It shows <a title=\"Nikola Tesla on Wikipedia\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Nikola_Tesla\">Nikola Tesla<\/a>&#8216;s magnifying transmitter generating millions of volts sizzling through the air. Man, that rocks!<\/p>\n<p>The first prototype of the &#8220;Tesla weapon&#8221; has placeholder graphics but it should illustrate the intention:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nordenfelt-thegame.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/tesla_gun_concept.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-437  aligncenter\" title=\"Tesla Weapon Prototype\" src=\"http:\/\/www.nordenfelt-thegame.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/tesla_gun_concept-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Tesla Weapon Prototype\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.nordenfelt-thegame.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/tesla_gun_concept-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.nordenfelt-thegame.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/tesla_gun_concept.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This weapon has the advantage of spreading damage over a wide area. A drawback is the need for recharge. Destroyed enemies can drop charge items which have to be collected like weapon upgrades. So the weapon has to be used tactically to get the most out of it.<\/p>\n<p>I hope to find the time polishing the graphics up to the procedural level I have in mind.
